Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a unique experience with extremely dated rooms built on top of an ant colony, yet with a beautiful view and a private pool on level 400. The service was outstanding with delightful nightly origami towel sculptures but a mix-up at reception. The location, set on a mountain side above Acapulco, is unbeatable. The dining experience, with a stunning view of St Lucia Bay, is not included in the rate. A mix of pros and cons make for an interesting stay.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with enough room for a rollaway for our party of 3. They feature comfortable beds, mini fridge, wet bar, private pool, updated bathrooms, cold A/C, and a beautiful patio. However, the decor feels a bit outdated, reminiscent of 25 years ago. The location overlooks the bay, providing a calm and quiet setting ideal for relaxing by the pool. The service is top-notch with consistently eager and cheerful staff always ready to assist, bringing coffee to our casita in the morning. The dining experience was delightful with a variety of breakfast and lunch options, although there were no special amenities left in the room for us. The hotel facilities are well-equipped and convenient, including room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, welcome drinks, and tours/ticket assistance.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were not ideal, with noise from the cars and visibility issues due to ants. However, the service was generally good, although I noticed variations in quality, especially at reception. The location was breathtaking, offering amazing views but in need of maintenance for better value. The dining experience was average, with sweet offerings in the room but lacking variety. Overall, a mixed experience with room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of comfort and inconvenience. The rooms, though small for a family of four, were clean and comfortable, with a range of amenities. However, there was an unexpected encounter with fire ants. The service was impeccable, with a minor hiccup of forgetting to clean our room once, promptly resolved by the responsive staff. The location offered tranquility and amazing views, although insect repellent was a necessity. The dining experience was a gastronomical delight, consistently providing breakfast and lunch options. The facilities were modern and convenient, enhancing my overall experience.
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The rooms were always clean and offered a beautiful view, although they only had one bed. They were private and spotlessly clean, with the added luxury of private pools that came with a welcome bottle of wine.
